ABOUT ME

BEHIND THE LENS

My name is Leigh and I'm a photographer (I am standing when I say this), as it is the most enjoyable affliction I have.  From an early age I've loved photography, and this has not diminished in any way and only grows stronger. No two moments are ever the same, and creating an image of a moment is, at times magical.  I now look at the world with my eyes cropping scenes, looking for the perfect light and composition, as I say, it's an affliction!

I'm lucky to have worked with some great people, photographed amazing characters and had some scary but exciting photographic opportunities from which I've learnt so much.  I keep my gear up to date, and my software, but photography is so much more than that.  Anticipation, knowledge, gut feeling and luck play a big part but having knowledge and experience also counts for much.  Most of my photography and editing skills are self taught, gleaned from peers or from images that have captured my imagination.  After all a picture is a 'story without words' and that's what I base my photography philosophy on.

In recent years I have undertaken a Diploma in Professional Photography to learn the theory behind the reality, and relished this to further my own skills.  Every day is a new learning experience for photographers and I'd love you to be part of that journey.

I live in Burbage so perfectly situated by the M6, M1, M69, M42 to travel to any venue in the Midlands or further afield.  I work out of 2 studios for family portraits, one in Hinckley and one in Leicester.  I have a full range of professional photography equipment, including portable lighting and backdrops and a full artillary of fun things for a photobooth to help make any celebration all the more enjoyable.  I maintain a professional but fun service, whether it be your wedding day, 90th birthday or a set of portraits for you.  Feel free to contact me for any photographic requirement that you may have, I'm sure I'll have a solution for you.

I look forward to hearing from you ....

Leigh
